　　2010年上海世博會(huì)中國園“畝中山水”位于黃浦江濱水南岸、世博會(huì)演藝中心以東、浦明路北側(cè)水門廣場以西，在世博會(huì)期間是重要的人流聚集、停留、轉(zhuǎn)換的中轉(zhuǎn)站；在世博會(huì)后，中國園將與中國館等為數(shù)不多的場館存留下來作為會(huì)后文化遺產(chǎn)，繼續(xù)為市民服務(wù)。

　　中國園的設(shè)計(jì)圍繞兩點(diǎn)展開：一是對中國的文化遺產(chǎn)特性的展現(xiàn)并兼顧國際性；二是體現(xiàn)中國的當(dāng)代性特點(diǎn)。由此提出了“當(dāng)代中式”園林的設(shè)計(jì)目標(biāo)。通過將“畝”與“園”結(jié)合，以傳統(tǒng)“畝”為單位，在現(xiàn)代場景中再現(xiàn)中國傳統(tǒng)名園中九種深入人心的意境，啟發(fā)小中見大的想象力，并結(jié)合了現(xiàn)代的實(shí)用功能要求和元素，畝中造景。

　　場地整體規(guī)劃由兩個(gè)部分組成：靜謐幽雅的竹林和深藏其中的具有中國傳統(tǒng)韻味的“畝中山水”系列，包括：由疊翠畝、橋影畝、聽雨軒和荷香館組成的凝翠園與石筍園、疊石園、映月園、盆景園和環(huán)秀園。

　　The Chinese Garden for Shanghai 2010 Expo is located on 6.7 acres on the east side of the Nation’s Chinese pavilion in Shanghai. Prominently located next to the main performance venue， the park will serve as a leisure ground to the estimated seventy million Expo visitors from around the world.

　　The concept comes from the traditional Chinese gardening， as the evolution of the classical garden is deeply rooted in the history of China. The development and design practices are harmonized with tradition in order to retain their cultural integrity in the current age of globalization. During the Expo 2010 and beyond， the Chinese Garden Park will showcase China’s invaluable culture for visitors and international design professionals.
